SIA 2008

Every year I find myself venturing to the SIA Ski and Snowboard Trade show in Las Vegas, and every year I swear it will be my last.. There are far to many friends, parties, and long nights to sneak under the radar. I think it’s safe to say I come home sick every year. This year was a 4-peat for my famous saying “I hope I never have to go back, but I’m sure I will….”

Dragon and Jamie Lynn join forces to make a masterpiece….

Carlsbad, CA (January 16th, 2008)- Over thirteen years ago, a young and talented Jamie Lynn joined Dragon as its first sponsored snowboarder. This was the beginning of what soon would become an evolving heritage of iconic individuals.

In 2008, the legacy comes full circle with the reunion and limited release of Dragon’s Jamie Lynn Signature Series ROGUE goggle. Featuring simplicity at it’s finest, the ROGUE offers classic design combined with Dragon’s leading technology and legendary heritage.

As some and many of you may already know, Eric Pollard, Pep Fujas, Myself, and Andy Mahre have all joined forces this season to create and build a new model for filmmaking and what it means for audiences, athletes, and sponsors by using online distribution.

This new movie, “Hunting Yeti” produced by Nimbus Independent in association with Poorboyz Productions, will document our travels and everything involved with filmmaking. We will be releasing 5 full-length 28-minute webisodes every 2 months for computer and iPod viewing, available for download off of the producer’s page at www.rip.tv/nimbusindependent.

Each webisode will be premiering on the 15th of February, April, June, August, and October. With a final cut of “Hunting Yeti – The Film” in early September on DVD, or on tour in a city near you.
