In addition to my ski career, I try to stay very involved with my community [Mammoth Mountain] as an ambassador for both the town and the junior teams. I have donated ‘A day skiing with me’ as well as a pair of my pro model skis, 'The ATOMIC Bent Chetler', the past couple years which raised good money for both World Cup Dreams and all the Mammoth Junior teams. Furthermore, my wife and professional snowboarder Kimmy Fasani and I have invested in a local business, Mimi's Cookie Bar, which is an organic bakery/ frozen yogurt shop in the heart of town. It seemed fitting since we met in an ice cream parlor and both have a ginormous sweet tooth. As for my professional commitment outside skiing, I am very focused on my health and physical fitness. I have invested in personal training through Jump Elite Performance Lab. I cross train regularly through rock climbing, surfing, road cycling, and mountain biking. I am also routinely researching diets and testing ways to improve my health and performance to ensure professional longevity. I plan on continuing down this path, and want to keep pushing my limits as well as the limits of back country skiing for many years to come... |
My goal is to share my interpretation of skiing in such a way that it motivates people, young and old, to look at skiing and terrain with a fresh new perspective. My effort has been, and will continue to be, accomplished by virtue of the multiple media outlets and projects I am involved with. I work very closely with the film companies;
