Firstly, Happy Halloween… Yes, I am inside blogging instead of being dressed up like a Nimbus cloud enjoying the festivities (Actually I lied… I was Gumby for Halloween. See below…).

The reality is, I’m way to tired. After two days of solid deck work, I spent the entire day climbing. Here was the deal… I talked my old friend Willie into to coming to Mammoth so we could climb. Little did he know, my deck needed to be sanded and painted before the next snow fall… Unfortunately, only having two orbital sanders made the deck project a two day process. We needed to sand, stain, and paint the railings, which was miserable, but such is life eh!

Finally, after countless hours spent under the masks, we headed down to Bishop to go bouldering. It was sick, but I’m way too exhausted to go out for Halloween. And I have one more coat of stain to do in the morning, so enjoy it for me…

Willie bringing dust back in style…

I could think of better ways to spend your time.

Pretty certain that’s not normal…

Happy my knees are still attached…

Heel hook saved the day.

Renaming this climb ‘Awkward’..

Still awkward.

that feels better. Something I can actually hold on to..

This rock decided to be a brain for Halloween. Good costume…

Actually, very good costume…

Fun arrette.

 Still fun.

Willie stumping the brain with this problem.

Good way to fill the chalk bag with sand…

Don’t forget the heel hook…

Since the mountain decided to close down due to melting snow, John “Jah” Jackson, Lonnie “Madness Chillin” Kauk, and I decided to go out climbing yesterday. John’s pup’s Sensi and Gweni also joined us for the adventure. It turns out giant Mastiffs and cliff drops don’t mix to well, so we had to help them stomp a few landings, but regardless they killed it. I’m hoping to make it back out there soon, and when I do I’ll try to remember my camera to snap a few more pics. Hope everyone’s falls are going well…

Sensi and Gwen holding down the fort.

Sick climbs…

Me posted up on a very fun route.

Guess you had to be there.

Belaying John.
