If you’re looking for a way to make a fashion statement, or just keep yourself looking fresh and staying with the times, you have many options… You can choose from designer hand bags – to knitted scarves and hats – all the way down to jewelry… In the case of John Symms and Pk Hunder, they decided to keep their keen sense of fashion, and keep that cutting edge ‘hard ass skier dude’ look by piercing their ears with a dull earring. Some may say this was an act of rebellion, others may say peer pressure, but most might say- this is what happens when too many Napa Bombs are consumed.

This may be old news to some, but regardless, Atomic is pumped to have aboard such a strong and talented rider… So, why not make sure everyone acquires the news- Dana Flahr signs with Atomic skis!

I for one couldn’t be hapier about how strong the Atomic team has become. They are now covering all the bases, from the best big mountain skiers in the business, such as Dana Flahr, down to the competition potentates, such as Jossi Wells.

When I asked Dana about his switch over to Atomic, he had nothing but positive things to say-

“I’m really stoked to be part of Atomic because the direction of the company is very focused on making the best possible big mountain/freeskiing skis out there, and not the same old concepts. These designs are going to be very forward thinking designs that is going to allow for skiing to continue to be pushed in directions it hasn’t been yet. Also, with a very small, tight team with a constant dialogue with the company, the riders voices won’t be muffled in transition towards R&D, compared to other ski companies out there. Very pumped to be a part of everything!”

Look for Dana’s most recent film segment in Tanner Hall’s movie- THE MASSIVE!

For everyone that doesn’t know this Australian superstar (on right), Christian Sirianni (not to be confused with Christian Siriano, the American fashion designer and winner of the American reality show “Project Runway”), is a skier that travels with us (Eric Pollard, Myself, Pep Fujas, Andy Mahre) for our film project “Nimbus Independent.” Even though this young bloke is Australian, he still knows how to land backwards in powder better than 42% of our sport… Read bellow and learn something new.

5 Standard’s:

When did you arrive in The U.S. Of A?
Early this month. I had to finish the university semester and get myself organized for the trip. It worked out pretty well, because there wasn’t that much snow, and I’ve been able to ease into the skiing. All in all, it’s great to be back on this side of the world!

How long do you plan on staying?
I’ll be here for about four or five months – that will largely depend on how the season pans out and how the snow is at that time.

Where are you living?
I’m living with you (Chris Benchetler) in Mammoth Lakes of course. Mammoth is the goods.

What’s your film schedule looking like?
This year, I’m filming with Nimbus Independent again. Last year I was lucky enough to be a part of the Hunting Yeti project, and the guys weren’t too offended by my inclusion. So, I’m going to tag along again try to get some bangers.

How many 1080’s will you do this year?
Probably two for each contest I’ll do this year – gotta have at least two tens per run.

4 Favorites:

Favorite area to ski?
French alps.

Favorite skier?
Not my favorite question, because I like so many aspects of skiing from different athletes. Chris Booth has amazing natural ability, Pep has amazing style, Tanner is a work horse and competition master-mind, JF and JP for making skiing cool, and the list could go on forever… I guess I could say my favorite would change daily depending on what I’m doing that day.

Favorite snowboarder?
Similar to above. But, I love watching Gigi Ruf, Devun Walsh, and Travis Rice.

Favorite skis?
Hell Bent’s are pretty sick in deep snow. I would have to say that they have been part of some of my greatest times on snow.

3 Do You’s:

Do you ever dance at the bar with your pants around your ankles?

Do you own a snowmobile?
Yep. I bought a sled a few years ago and it’s been so good. It has opened up so many new aspects of skiing to me that I would never have experienced otherwise. It’s also a sure way to scare yourself shitless ………read more on BNQT.COM
